Here Comes the Sun
Here comes the sun, y’all! Can you see it? Before I share more, if you are new here, check out this link for a full description of the focus of this painterly blog. Now, on to this week’s painting, yes?
Peaking Through Colorful Clouds
The morning light and colorful clouds were calling to me during our recent stay at Topsail Island, NC. Here’s a picture of the painting in progress on the deck of our little motel room. Sweet!
I love the view, the smells, the sounds, every little thing about this place. I also love that it’s not fancy just functional and focussed on the most important thing of all. What’s that? Nature! The beautiful skies! The wondrous ocean! OK OK I’ll stop gushing about the wonders of nature and share this week’s painting.
Here Comes the Sun Painting
This painting is 6×12 inches, painted in oils on panel. I loved every minute of painting this painting. Does it show? I hope so!
And, here’s the fabulous song of the same name that came to mind as I finished it.
How Are You
What’s happening in your world, gentle reader? Are you enjoying the sun? Or perhaps after this steamy summer, you’re hiding from it? Either way, I would love to hear from you. Please share your sun experiences in the comments below.
