Gone Fishing
We’ve gone fishing – sorta – at Oconee State Park near Walhalla SC. Here’s a quick gouache sketch I did while we were heading south.
Enjoy!
The colors in the trees along the highway are so delightful! I especially love the bursts of pink from the redbud trees. That’s all for now folks! Enjoy and hope to share more shenanigans from the road soon!

April 1, 2021Julie! This is so colorful! I love the variety of colors. I don’t understand if you did this in a moving vehicle or once you were stopped. Not critical to know but if you can do this while in a moving vehicle well, then, wow!

April 2, 2021Hiya Beth,
David was driving and I was painting. It’s a bumpy, crazy way to paint but also enjoyable too.
The colors were everywhere as they tend to be this time of year. Thanks for noticing them in the painting! xoxo

April 2, 2021Love your road trips and their inspiration for painting fodder. : )
These kinds of colors are difficult for some, feeling some need to be extravagant and bold, however your graceful use here expresses your comfort level and expertise. Quite lovey my friend. I know it must feel marvelous to express yourself in this way, I am so enjoying living vicariously along your journeys, both on the road and on the canvas. XO
