Everything Changes

Everything Changes

So here we are in 2025 and, you guessed it, everything changes, like it or not. Right? Before I share more, read on. Whether it’s your first or gazillionth visit here, I hope you feel a warm (and bright colored) welcome. Each week I share a colorful painting with you. My hope is that these color clad, affordable paintings will delight your eyes and – hopefully – lift your spirits! If you’re new here and would like to receive your very own version of these weekly posts, subscribe here. Let’s look more closely at this week’s painting, OK?

Big Work

Don’t tell anyone but I have been working on this painting for ages. It’s one of the larger paintings I have done in awhile. How large? It’s 12 inches wide and 24 inches long. Compared to the 4×6 inch post card paintings I did on our road trip north last fall, this painting is huge (yooodge!).

Here’s the studio shot.

Everything Changes Painting

Here’s the painting in sections. Then in it’s entirety. It’s for sale unframed for $786 + $56.99 NC Sales Tax + $25 shipping = $867.99. After looking, if you’d like to buy it and make it yours, you can do so via PayPal here.

Entire Painting

And, here’s the entire painting all in one place.

The Inspiration

I realize I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the inspiration for this painting. So here goes, Jeannette, David, Julia, Brian, Adam, Eve, Jack, Peg, Joseph, Sam, Brian (different) and Chloe.

The Interpretation

As for the actual interpretation of this painting? I’ll leave that up to you, gentle reader and viewer. I’d be curious to read what you see.

The More I Paint

The more I paint, the more I want to paint. How about you gentle reader? What do you want to do more of in 2025? Please do share in the comments here. I would love to hear from you!

Love this awesome painting! How you make the silver pitcher shine makes me feel like I can pick it up. I see in it a paintbrush and open tube of paint. Fun!!!!

What a stunning painting! The blue is magnificent. The silver pitcher so “alive.” And the apple and drying leaf such rich textual and colorful additions. Wish I had more wall space and extra $$$ to bring it here for me to savor on these gray winter days.
